i figured it was time to post about last year.

2011 was good to me & i can't wait for what 2012 throws my way.

but first... a little recap of what made 2011 so great:

January.

a fresh school semester & one more class out of the way.

i started weight watchers & totally re*arranged my reasons for losing weight.

February.

i turned 29 & had to get rid of the first car i bought. *sigh. buh bye Subaru.

March.

i had some epic friend nights & went to scrapbook expo. scrap $$ was spent.

April.

i spent lots of time at the park & lost my 10% goal at Weight Watchers

May.

i had my first taste of Fentons ice cream.

celebrated my best friends 30th birthday.

walked my FIRST ever 5k.

& got crafty for National scrapbook day.

June.

went out to a family brunch at a fancy restaurant for dad day.

& struggled through an online summer history class. passed it. boom.

July.

had some family beach time.

played with sparklers on the fourth.

went to the county faire & rode the ferris wheel.

& went to the midnight premier of the last Harry Potter movie (i have been to every ONE)

dork for*ev

August.

round 2 for scrapbook expo. $$

& my first PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE of the season.

September.

lots of girl time. <3

October.

MUCH needed bff time.

one amazing bake day (epic if i may)

& i actually decorated this year.

i figured a lot out this year, about myself. I learned that if I put my mind & heart to something i can get to where i want to be. i figured out how to be a better friend & sister & girlfriend. i figured out what i want in my life & what i can do without even if i think i need it. i figured out that no matter how long it takes i will PASS a MATH CLASS. i figured out how to say goodbye to things i didn't want to say goodbye to. I learned that growing up doesn't have to be depressing but inspiring and fulfilling. i figured out how patient i can be & that it's not a bad thing. i figured out that everyones path is different and that mine may take a little longer but thats what makes me who i am. i figured out that i can make mistakes & get back up and try again, and again, and again & that's ok. so here's to 2012 & figuring out EVEN more of what i can accomplish and who i am.

hopefully i can just figure out how to share more of it here ;)

i have so much i want to share here & it feels a little overwhelming so i have been avoiding it along with everything else that makes me feel that way these days. so, thank you for reading and hopefully this post is the first of many.

i have been scrapping. (like i never have before & i don't wanna stop once i start)

i guess i just wish time didn't slip away with such ferocity when i enjoy the moments i have.

*it's the Pisces daydreamer in me i guess.

whatev. on to the layouts...

umm yah.

the crafting has been no joke around here. i can't stop.

some of these pages are missing journaling (i need ink for my printer blah)

but, the amount of layouts ..... holy scrap.

i have never been more in love with scrapbooking than RIGHT now.

i had my second layout published in the August issue of Scrapbook Trends (my first was last December) & i am so humbled & grateful for this hobby i love. i just wish i could spend even more time with paper and glue.

ok. so. is it really almost april 1st?

k. just checking.

it seems like i am struggling to keep up lately. does anyone else feel that way?

i haven't been on my computer much and maybe that's a good thing.

i HAVE been busy living my life and enjoying this time. i am actually sort of .almost .kinda. excited about spring/summer. *disclaimer: this may and will probably change when 100 degree heat rolls up on me.

i am still going strong on weight watchers with 18.9 pounds to date and i weigh in today. *keeping these fingers crossed to make it 20 pounds* WHAT!

i know right.

today my aggenda goes a little something like this:

eat. scrap. repeat.

throw in a black tea lemonade with some music on full blast and maybe some gym time later. hell, i might even go for a walk in this CRAZY 80 degree cali weather.

i can't leave this post without a little scrappy*ness

- we had a YUMMY birthday breakfast

- we went to the California Academy of Science Museum

i LOVE my dad...LOL

-we went to dinner and a movie and for an hour i FORGOT about counting points completely ;)

*side note: rats eat cheesecake for their birthday.

Friday:

-i cried about my subaru ( a lot )

-i test drove lots of cars

-i had lunch with the fam and talked about how many car dealerships my dad and uncle have been kicked out of during price negotiation.

- kendall had MY BACK with getting an amazing deal

and by 8pm i was the proud owner of a new Toyota Corolla

BOOM ROASTED.

- i cried i was so happy.

-kendall and i talked and caught up on our favorite tv shows that we had recorded.

( jersey shore anyone? *THA CABS AH HEYA* lol )

Saturday:

- SLEPT IN

- got a mani/pedi

- got a massage with my spa gift card

- had dinner with the fam

Sunday:

- got crafty with some of my favorite girls.

things i am loving:

i am finally getting into a really healthy routine and i love it.

last thursday i weighed in and lost 1.2 pounds, not as epic as my 5.4 in week one but, i will take it. i am feeling more comfortable with my diet and not feeling as hungry. i am also squeezing in as much craft time as i can. i just started school again today (art history) and i am already in love. there is just not much that compares to fresh paper and a new pencil. nerd i know.

i LOVEd using crayons on this to border the photos and circles. i think it matches the OLD school Ki paper so well. side note* i have hoarded the shit out that paper for like 10 years. lol

Figuring out my new schedule...

So for the last 5 years my boyfriend and i have had Sunday's off together. This last Sunday was my first one alone. Now, don't get me wrong... I enjoyed every last minute of it but, it will take a little getting used to. Kendall got a new job ( umm YAY!) and he is very happy but our schedules are weird now and i am finding myself with A LOT of me time. I plan on using it to my advantage and making my life even more balanced. One of the BIG changes I am making is more craft time at NIGHT, yes you read that right... NIGHT scrapping. I am hoping to do every sunday sketch and end my year with AT LEAST 52 layouts and stretch myself creatively. I am starting off strong :D

every year my mom's work has a craft faire. this was my second time around and i thought i had a good idea of what went well and not so well from the first time but... i thought wrong. lol

the card i hated sold and i didn't sell ANY of my coffee cozies. oh well. i had a great time just hangin with the bestie and drinking coffee. we even squeezed in a little cheesecake factory after and i rushed us over to the movie theater to catch a matinee showing of Harry 7. we had a great day but i may be re*thinking going to next years craft faire. hmmm.. does anyone have any good advice for me about selling handmade??

hmm... could be just me. i have been doing all the regular december stuff but that oooo* it's Christmas time feeling just hasn't hit me yet. maybe it's because i have not decorated ANYTHING in my apartment. well, does a mantle full of Christmas cards from loved ones count??... hmm, i think not. i did get a tree with my parents and got some GREAT pictures to scrap and i have been watching all of my favorite holiday movies. i even spent ALL day yesterday baking, oh my, was i tired after! well, i am off to make goodie bags with all the cookies i baked yesterday and listen to some christmas music on pandora. i may even squeeze a little craft time in ;)

i am still working on finding balance. this year has been so eye opening for me in many different ways. i feel like i am getting there. slowly but surely... getting there. where the hell *there is, i have no idea but i feel like i'm on the right track. i have these moments where i know exactly what i want and i feel like i could run until i pass out or die to get there, but i am moving in slow-mo. what i know is that everything will be OK. i will be OK.

ps. can you believe it is almost Thanksgiving?

I can't believe that October is gone.... I have to wait a whole year for my favorite month again. It went by in SUCH a blur and not the "wow this year has gone by fast" kinda blur but more of a *shit, I should have slowed down a bit more and enjoyed* blur. But, October did leave me with LOTS of great pictures and memories as well as a lot to blog about. ;)

So... I kinda forgot to blog about my SURPRISE DISNEY TRIP with Kendall. This year was our five year anniversary and I still can't believe he puts up with my bull trash. haha. He sorta surprised me, ( he calls me a money nazi so I kinda always know ) and we left two days later. We had a blast and we were exhausted by the time we left the park.

i went to the pumpkin patch aka. the farmers market with pumpkins today with my sister. we didn't find anything we liked, pumpkin shopping is extremely important you know, but we did have a lot of sister fun.

i am trying something new. a little more balance in my everyday life. it seems to be working out for me. i am getting more done. i am fighting with myself to stay on track. it is not easy most days but i know it will become more routine and help me to become more successful.

things i am focusing on :

health.

school.

finance.

time management.

positive incentives.

i finished my homework and now i'm off to the gym with my new playlist and a fresh perspective. i love fall so much.

i figured*... i would do a quick post to highlight my summer because i was SO flakey from my blog. i want to remember how much fun i had and try not to dwell so much on the hard things i am going through because i believe that it is all for a reason and i am feeling very thankful right now. thankful for all of my friends who can always make me laugh. thankful for my family who because of them i learned a lot about who i am, where i came from and who i want to be. thankful for my best friend who no one, no ooone, no ugh uh ugh un will ever come close to matching the place she holds in my heart. thankful for kendall who is always there when i need him and loves me no matter how stinky i am. thankful for my sister because i love you bitch. NO MATTER WHAT... and yah i know i already said family but whatevs "she is only happy if she is distinctive"

Hi blog friends! How is everyone? I am so happy it's Friday! As soon as I left work I felt like a huge weight lifted off of me. ugh* buh bye. There is almost nothing as amazing as the feeling of driving away from work and picking up a celebratory starbux and coming home to my favorite place...

Can I just tell you how happy these pictures make me?... umm YAH. Kendall bought me the prettiest flowers to put on my desk.
So... do you see my crazy paper hoarding situation in the left corner?? I actually went through and organized it ALL and it is SO MUCH easier for me to find things now. *sigh*

ALL four of the top paper holders are specialty papers. My Hambly paper is so much happier now that it can breathe. lol. I have been trying really hard to focus on working on my OWN layouts and getting back to that happy place of loving scrapbooking. What I have learned is the more time that I spend on my own layouts the happier I am with this craft that I love. I celebrated NATIONAL SCRAPBOOK DAY with Nikki at Scrapbook Diva and had so much fun.

I completed three layouts... in one day.....ummm.. that was a RECORD for me! ha.
The first was a scraplifted* layout that Nikki had a picture of. I am not quite sure where the original layout came from but if I find out I will let you know!
I did an Easter layout with all of my egg coloring pics. I love how it turned out with the Sassafras papers! Perfect for Spring colors!

The second layout I finished was a series of pictures that I love from this past winter of my boyfriend and I with the Studio Calico line Home Front. *I LOVE THIS PAPER* I wanted to keep this page simple so it would be more about the photos.

The last page is one of my bff and I at our first ever Christmas craft faire. I love the October Afternoon paper on this mixed with the Hambly rub-on's.

HOlY PAGES!!
I actually picked out some stuff to work on and FINISHED TWO layouts. Crazy*ness right. I almost decided not to bring *my own pages to work on* because I didn't want to spend time putting things together...lame right? I realized that I really needed to get back into my own scrapping groove and get some layouts done for me and I am SO GLAD I did. So I owe a huge thank you and I love you to Mal and Reeeeen who I had an amazing scrappy day with. When are we getting together again?? 5, 4, 3, 2, NOW... tell me now.

Time really does fly when you are having fun. My one week vacation went by SO fast.
I had a bast with my mom and sister at Disneyland :D and I am more inspired than ever to get back to work on my Disney pages. I have a few pages done that I would love to share and a couple of cute vacation pics too!

The first layout is a new Pirate page. The second is an Ariel page and the third is a Tarzan's Treehouse layout (my favorite of the three I think)

I know I haven't updated in a while so I thought I would share a recent layout and a quick blahblah blah about how much I love scrapbooking. I had no idea how much I missed doing my own pages! I had a great B*day crop with some of my amazing crafty friends. Here are the pages I did that day:

I had so much fun. I also got the best gifts EVER.

Kendall found me GREEN headphones. *sigh* he loves me.

Renee got me this awesome board game. The best friend a girl could ever ask for. I can't WAIT to play. I also got a 50$ Disney card to spend at the park in March!! eeek* It is getting close. My sweet sister got me a Scrapbook Territory GIFT certificate! *which I already spent by the way* on SO MUCH cute stuff including these:

I LOVE THEM. I also went through all of my paper and realized how badly I needed to do that. I HOARD PAPER! I am left with 4!!! boxes of planned Disney layouts! I will be working on some of those this week so check back for that. I hope you are all enjoying the last few weeks of Winter. I can't wait for SPRING :D

It is V*day weekend and I can't wait to spend my three days with my sweet valentine. I can't believe how lucky I got with my days off this week! Today I am spending my time relaxing and running errands and tomorrow I am getting my hair done :) I can't wait. I have been slowly getting back to my natural hair color and I am thinking of adding a bit more blond for springtime.... what do you guys think??... hmmm. Well I am off to craft and I think I may do my VERY OWN scrapbook page. It has been WAY to long. Almost a year in fact. whew* that's weird. I went on a little shopping spree with my bonus check at Scrapbook Territory and got a bunch of new American Crafts and Studio Calico stuff. I can't wait to play! Now I just need to find photos and maybe grab a coffee...mmmm.

Hi blog world! It has been a while. I have been slacking a bit lately. I have been busy enjoying my time and trying not to stress so much about all the small things and the next thing I knew it was FEBRUARY ♥. aka my BIRTHDAY month! eeeek*

exciting...yes. me getting older....no. lol. It is also Valentines Day ;) coming up so I found a bunch of cute pics of things that have been inspiring me and some cute things that would make *good gifts (hint, hint). Sick days are good for finding new sneak peaks in between naps and nose blowing. I did some scrapping this weekend before I caught this yucky cold and can't wait to share a little sneaky peak of my own. But first all the goodies I have been drooling over...

Some of the cutest lines I have seen in a while and I can't WAIT to get my hands on all the new glimmer mists and paints. I needed a little sick day cheering up :)
